Real morpho butterfly wings as background make this double sided Rhodium plated Pendant stand out. This double sided pendant has a palm tree on one side and on the other a flamingo, which is unusual for these pieces.

I bought a collection from the original vendor, the last time he took these out was for the NY world’s Fair in 1964. He sold and dealt with butterfly wing jewelry from the 40′s-the 60′s

American companies, Hoffman specifically started making morpho butterfly wing jewelry in the 30′s after it became popular in England in the 20′s.

The Pendant measures 1-in by 1/2-in.

I will slowly be listing the whole collection.

Butterfly a symbol of transformation, growth and the soul. Handmade in the sixties, someone took much care with enameling the the details of the fine black line and the colorful dots. On the right side there is a haze that doesn’t take away from the piece.

This vintage sixties sterling silver boy charm has a silhouette of a boy in the center of a heart and sunburst cut design decorating it. There is plenty of space on the back to engrave it.

It is large enough to wear as a pendant. It measures 7/8in(just over 3/4 inch) by 7/8in
